Looking grizzly-chic down here in beautiful, sunny Florida. After moving
back to Florida three years ago, I had a hard time adjusting to the warmer winters and not being able to wear my favorite cold weather items from Chicago. So I decided that life is too short to not wear what you like, so yes, I totally bust out my faux fur garments any chance I get! Even in 80-degree weather. I own thee fur vests; two faux, one a knit and fur combo with rabbit.
There is an interesting story behind this awesome, shaggy, dark green fur vest. My mother and I found it about five years ago while Christmas shopp ing at TJ Maxx. We found it on the super clearance rack. It had been the reining veteran of the rack, outliving six markdowns that brought the price down to $9! Apparently its "ugliness" its my fashion fate.
The off-the-shoulder floral dress was purchased rummaging the sales racks at a department store. I love mixing different textures and styles. The feminine look of the dress definitely softens up my ugly-yet-chic vest. I completed my look with a thrift shop moon necklace for $3 from Goodwill and a Vince Camuto horn pendant necklace. I’m also rocking my favorite peep-toed booties by Steve Madden.
