When traveling to Miami its fun to do some of the NOT-SO cliche tourist spots. I highly recommend stopping by The Jungle Island, animal preserve. Its a one of a kind experience, so many animals to meet and greet. Lots of up close animal shows such as Lemurs and Tigers. I has no idea what a Ligers was, had no idea that Tigers and Lions could even breed! My favorite thing as much of a Florida stereotype as it is.. is the Flamingos. I just think they are goofy looking birds with long straws for legs. I got up close and personal with one and it looks unreal up close! Check out the picture below.
At The Jungle Island, I also made a new friend, a little baby Kangaroo. My heart just melted for this little guy, he even went on his back to get a belly rub! He was not shy the slightest and it was very apparent that he gets spoiled regularly with immense amounts of attention.
Animal adventures are my favorite kind, I always pack hand sanitizer and a breezy cotton dress so dirt is easily removed. My light denim shirt is an ideal layer, its keeps me cool and protects from the sun at the same time. It was a perfect NON-CLICHE day in Miami! Make your way to The Jungle Island.
