Many of my travels involve animal encounters as you know, so when I was passing through Atlanta, I had to stop at the Largest Aquarium in the United States, the Geogria Aquarium. I was a kid in a candy store, so many species to look at. It had the widest range of sea-life I have ever encountered.
The aquarium was divided into different parts of the ocean, each had its own shows and specific feeding times. My all time favorite sea creatures to see are the flourescent Jellyfish. They throw the best light show, better than any rave! There was so many of them, they were gliding through the ocean so effortlessly.
It was a little chilly inside the Aquarium, I wore a long sleeve denim shirt, with a tie dyed mustard skirt and my Michael Kors basket purse. I rolled up my sleeves for the heat of Atlanta and rolled them down for all the inside adventures.
The Dolphin show was the best one I have ever seen, the did not allow any cameras claiming the flashes distracted the dolphins, so you will just have to take my word for it. There was a total of six dolphins and trainers! They interacted together, doing flips, tricks, and splashes.
The penguins made an audience appearance running down the aisle in the center of the aquarium, I had to fight a couple class field trips to get a good view. Thats a penalty of going during the week. The underwater tunnel is always a must see, it was awesome to see schools of fishes, sting rays, and bull sharks swim above me. If you are ever in Atlanta make sure you stop by and bring a sweater to keep warm.
